Higher Education for Business

You might be at the point in life where graduation is nearing. You might even have already started a career, but desire a master's degree in order to gain a higher position. You might just be considering going to graduate school some time later in life. Whatever the reason is, you want to make sure you are going into a suitable school that fits your prospective title or area or work.

Being determined to go to a graduate school after I get my bachelor's degree, I spend many hours at a time researching schools that strike my interest, schools that I always see on top of the national rankings, or schools that have been awarded often in my field of interest. One way to keep track of looking at the top business schools in the U.S. with a specialty in marketing is to check here. The U.S News and World Report annually ranks the best schools by field, so you could easily check if your program of study is considered one of the best or the worst in whatever school you like. I always like to keep up with what schools are keeping up with the standard or exceeding standards that are expected in order to get a good job, and you should, too.

For those of you who are not settled into a niche within marketing and who want to look at a wide variety of marketing careers, a school to pursue a master's in is Northwestern University located in Chicago, IL. Northwestern is consistently ranked one of the best business schools in the U.S., and just this year, the J.L. Students in the MBA program could choose to study marketing or marketing management. Continuing Education for Advertising

Looking to obtain a master's degree in advertising? Since I am, I have conducted extensive research on the top master's programs for advertising and narrowed my option down to two schools: Boston University and Miami Ad School.

Boston University offer an MS degree in Advertising where you can either take the Management Track, the Creative Track, or the Thesis Track. The Management Track prepares students for careers in account management, media, account planning, and advertising research. The Creative Track prepares students for careers in copywriting and art direction. The Thesis Track prepares students for careers in research or education.

Within the graduate program, students will have the opportunity to participate in the largest student-run communication advertising agency in the world, AdLab, where they will provide their services to real clients. Boston is the nation's fifth largest media market, so even more opportunities are present for professional experience.

Miami Ad School's graduate program runs in conjunction with Florida International University where students develop skills, build a portfolio, and write a thesis to earn a Masters in Mass Communications with an emphasis in either art direction or copywriting. It is an 18 month program that allows for studying abroad and learning from the leaders and professionals in the advertising industry all in attempts to successfully enter the field or move up in it.

Miami Ad School graduates create networks with an extensive list of the leading agencies all over the world, so you might get the upper hand in landing a good job, or even your dream job. These close connections provide more insight into the world of advertising, and you can get advice in order for you to gain an edge in this competitive, yet fascinating field.
